FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a medical connector for a fluid delivery system. Connector comprises a liquid inlet socket configured for detachable engagement with a connection socket of a replaceable reusable set (MUDS) for establishing a liquid connection therewith. Connector has a locking mechanism configured for detachably attaching the medical connector to a replaceable reusable set (MUDS). Fixing mechanism has an elastic projection, which is made with the possibility of deviation from the engagement position to the free position and back by means of the elastic projection deflection. Connector includes a sensitive element in the form of a sensitive lug having reflecting surfaces for reflecting light. Sensitive boss is configured to reflect light emitted by the sensor on the fluid delivery system back to the sensor when the medical connector is inserted into the connector socket of a reusable replaceable set (MUDS) and is reversibly fixed by a fixing mechanism. Connector has a fluid supply line to the patient connected at the first end to the liquid inlet socket and having a fluid supply line connector at the second end configured to be connected to the patient's catheter. Connector comprises a check valve configured to maintain a unidirectional flow through the fluid inlet to the fluid supply line to the patient. Fluid flow along the fluid supply line to the patient is unidirectional from the first end to the second end by means of a check valve. Sensitive boss is formed on the resilient protrusion of the fixing mechanism so that it reflects light emitted by the sensor when it is in the engaged position and does not reflect light from the sensor when it is in a free position. Reusable replaceable kit (MUDS) is configured to supply fluid to a patient using a medical connector.
EFFECT: improvement of medical devices and systems used to deliver fluids to patients during various medical procedures.
