FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Biomechanical parameters of the fibrous membrane of the eye are examined: bIOP, DA Ratio, Integr. Radius (R), SP-A1, StressStrainlndex (SSI), BGF, and if bIOP more than 18.0 mm Hg, Integr. Radius (R) less than 7.7 mm, SP-A1 more than 118 mmHg/mm and BGF less than 20, peripheral iridectomy is performed. Thereafter, the biomechanical parameters of the fibrous membrane of the eye are monitored, wherein the bIOP values are less than 16.5 mm Hg, Integr. Radius (R) more than 8.0 mm, SP-A1 less than 118 mmHg/mm and BGF more than 20, are considered as achieving tolerant IOP, normalization of biomechanical parameters of the eye.
EFFECT: method enables to determine the indications for peripheral iridectomy based on the biomechanical parameters of the fibrous capsule and to control their normalization, as well as to achieve tolerant ophthalmotonus after laser intervention, which increases the possibility of predicting disease progression.
