FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding, particularly, to production of electrodes for contact welding and may be used in production of welded structures. Electrode material consisting of copper wastes is heated in an induction furnace to temperature of 150-180 °C is higher than the melting point. 1.1-1.3 wt.% of chromium nanoparticles and 0.05-0.07 wt.% of phosphorus nanoparticles are added to the copper melt, the melt is mixed using frequency modulation of current in an alternating magnetic field and the matrix is filled with melted electrode material. After cooling of the melt to temperature of 940-960 °C, it is stamped with a punch with quenching of the obtained electrode and aging at temperature of 460-490 °C for 3.5-4.5 hours.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain electrodes of high hardness and electrical conductivity.
