FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of insulating an inter-panel space formed between first insulating panel (1) and second insulating panel (2) of the wall of a sealed and heat-insulated fluid storage tank. First insulating panel (1) comprises first side surface (8) facing second side surface (9) of second insulating panel (2). Inter-panel space (7) is limited by first side surface (8) and second side surface (9). Method involves steps of placing one insert element (10, 111, 112) opposite first side surface (8) of first insulating panel (1). Then, mounting foam is injected into inter-panel space (7) between insert element (10, 111, 112) and second side surface (9) of second insulating panel (2), so that mounting foam expands to press on insert element (10, 111, 112) between said mounting foam and first side surface (8) of first insulating panel (1).
EFFECT: continuity of heat insulation between adjacent insulating panels.
