METHOD FOR PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL TREATMENT OF SEWAGE SLUDGE AND ORGANIC WASTES TO OBTAIN SECONDARY PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC C02F11/14 C05F7/00

Abstract RU 2829241 C1

FIELD: processing and recycling of wastes.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to a set of measures for treatment of sludge, solid sediments and contaminants contained in domestic and industrial waste water, as well as organic wastes, both previously accumulated and newly formed in the current technological process. Method involves a preparatory stage, a stage of deodorization and disinfection of sediments or organic wastes in a process line. Line is equipped with a vortex-wave reactor with movable ferromagnetic elements. At the preparatory stage, sediments are monitored by moisture and pH and, if necessary, moisture is adjusted to value of 95–98%, and pH to values of 6.5 ≤ pH ≤ 8.5 due to introduction of acidic or alkaline reagents. Then several samples are taken for analysis of sediment in laboratory conditions for the purpose of selection of reagents required for introduction at various stages of the process and determination of their quantitative content. At the stage of deodorization and disinfection, 0.5–3.0 kg/m3 of 19% sodium hypochlorite solution is simultaneously supplied to the inlet of the vortex-wave reactor using dosing pumps and 0.5–5.0 kg/m3 in terms of dry substance of 6% lime milk, preliminary prepared in a dispenser, which is equipped with a process line. At the outlet of the reactor, acid is added to the sediment to adjust pH to 8.0–8.5, after which the sediment is dehydrated. Formed centrate is directed to the beginning of the technological line for reuse. In formed solid fraction, if necessary and depending on initial composition of wastes, coagulants and flocculants are added, taken in amount of 0.1–1.0 and 0.05–1.0 kg/m3, respectively, by dry substance, and making preparations based on aerobic microorganisms at rate of 1.0–5.0 l/m3, after that, the solid fraction is transported and placed on a pre-built site for performing agrotechnical measures for 30–90 days. Said activities include the formation of piles, control of the moisture content of the solid fraction and, if necessary, the introduction of a structurant and humic preparations, taken in amount of 0.1–1.0 m3/m3 and 1.0–5.0 kg/m3 respectively. With periodicity of 1–3 days, forced aeration is carried out by means of re-stacking of piles.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of deodorization and disinfection of wastewater sediments or organic waste and their subsequent disposal with simultaneous production of secondary products capable of stimulating aboriginal microflora, destruction of pathogens, and suitable for reclamation of disturbed lands and/or production of mineral fertilizers.
