FIELD: magnetic separation.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to classification of materials with magnetic materials and can be used for processing of unclassified material. Magnetic separator contains a non-magnetic rotating drum and a magnetic system containing a housing and magnets located inside the drum, a feeder and receivers of separation products. In said magnetic system, magnets are arranged inside the housing of the magnetic system and separated from the non-magnetic rotating drum by the wall of the housing of the magnetic system. Surface of the drum is made with possibility of movement near the wall of the housing of the magnetic system. In the housing of the magnetic system, holes are made in the wall on the side of the drum. Inside the housing of the magnetic system there are limiters for displacement of magnets along the wall of the housing of the magnetic system, which is placed on the side of the rotating drum. Inside the housing of the magnetic system there are clamps pressing the magnets to the wall of the housing on the side of the drum.

EFFECT: simplified design of magnetic system of separator and increased efficiency of materials classification.
