SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modification of lipid membranes. Disclosed are substances of a number of amphiphilic polymers (FABPEG) for modifying lipid membrane systems, consisting of di-derivatives of (1,20)-eicosen-10-dioic acid with linear amino-polyethylene glycols (aminoPEG) with the number of units of one PEG fragment of more than 40 and weight of more than 2,000 amu; method of producing the disclosed chemical FABPEG compounds and using the disclosed FABPEG chemical compounds for modifying the size of water channels of lipid membrane systems.

EFFECT: obtaining amphiphilic polymers consisting of (1,20)-ecozen-10-dioic acid di-derivatives with linear amino-polyethylene glycols, obtaining characteristics of structural parameters of obtained three-component lipid membrane systems, and demonstrating the suitability of the obtained lipid membrane systems for crystallisation of test membrane proteins.
