FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gyroscopic systems and can be used for azimuth orientation of platform of three-axis gyrostabilizer in high-precision navigation systems for various purposes. To achieve technical result, one of gyro units of horizontal platform stabilization system is switched to mode of two-degree gyrocompass. Platform azimuthal orientation is determined from deviation of measured precession angles of gyroscope from calculated values. Measurement and determination of the azimuth is carried out until the precession angle reaches the design final value selected within the gyro unit of the stabilization system measured by the sensor. Gyroscope is returned to the initial position and the orientation process is periodically repeated until the required accuracy of the azimuthal orientation of the platform is achieved without changing the value of the final precession angle.
EFFECT: simplification of measurement system design and reduction of the gyrostabilizer readiness time.
