FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of reducing process losses of acrylonitrile during its production by oxidative ammonolysis of propylene. Method consists in the fact that the return still flow from the product column is fed into a fractionation column for concentration of a heavy residue, operating under residual vacuum of 0.3-0.6 bar, in which commercial acrylonitrile is extracted. Temperature in the bottom of the column is maintained in range of 60-85 °C, and removal of acrylonitrile is carried out with a side flow in the upper part of the column.
EFFECT: disclosed method increases output of acrylonitrile and reduces polymer formation.
