FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ultrasonic examination and anatomy, and can be used for examination of anatomical structures of neck in sagittal, frontal and horizontal anatomical planes during ultrasonic examination. On the handle of the sensor of the ultrasonic scanner, three spirit levels are fixed in three planes: sagittal, frontal and horizontal at angle of 90°. Longitudinal spirit level corresponds to the longitudinal axis of the sensor, the transverse spirit level is set perpendicular to the longitudinal axis along the working surface which is in contact with the skin, and the third spirit level is placed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and to the transverse spirit level.
EFFECT: method enables diagnosing anatomical structures of the neck, describing lifetime anatomy and topography, evaluating certain criteria of operative approaches, creating computer models by fixing three spirit levels on the sensor at angle of 90°.
