FIELD: composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials, in particular, to carbon-carbon, carbon-ceramic composite materials, as well as carbon fiber-reinforced plastic; it is intended for use in aviation, aerospace and other industries. Volume-reinforced composite material is based on a carbon, carbon-ceramic, or polymer matrix and a rod frame of carbon fibers, consisting of rows of horizontal and vertical rods, arranged by its height. Moreover, in this material, between rows of horizontal rods, layers of non-woven fibrous material, penetrated by vertical rods, made of carbon fibers fragmented by length and thickness, filling cells formed by rods, where the frame is pre-pressed in a vertical direction by a clamping plate, in which perforations are made for the passage of vertical carbon rods. Method for the production of composite material includes the manufacture of a rod-type reinforcing frame of carbon fibers, and formation of a carbon, carbon-ceramic, or polymer matrix, in which, when manufacturing the frame, workpieces of carbon fibers are strung on vertical rods, alternating stringing with laying of a horizontal row of carbon rods. Moreover, non-woven material based on carbon fibers fragmented by length and thickness is used as workpieces of carbon fibers, the specified workpieces are strung on metal rods with subsequent replacement by carbon rods after a full set of horizontal rows. After that, the frame is pre-pressed in a vertical direction with the clamping plate, in which perforations are made for the passage of vertical rods, while the thickness of workpieces of non-woven fibrous material is selected so that after pre-pressing of the frame, non-woven material completely fills cells formed by horizontal and vertical rods.

EFFECT: development of composite material and its production method, providing an increase in physical and mechanical characteristics, as well as an increase in its erosion resistance without significant increase in costs and complication of a manufacturing technology.
