FIELD: polymer industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to polymer stabilizers. Method of producing a tablet involves the following steps: filling with initial material in solid form, first open cavity, which is formed by first punch and matrix, to obtain a second open cavity, which is at least partially filled with starting material, closing the second open cavity with the second punch to obtain the first closed cavity, pressing the starting material at a pressing temperature below 37 °C by moving at least one of the first punch and the second punch to produce a second closed cavity, which has a smaller volume than the first closed cavity, which leads to the formation of a captured tablet of the starting material in the second closed cavity, removal of the captured tablet to obtain a tablet which has a tablet temperature below 37 °C immediately after removal, where the steps are carried out in a tablet press, where the starting material is solid at 37 °C and 101.32 kPa and consists of 60–100 wt.% of a first polymer stabilizer, 0–40 wt.% of a second polymer stabilizer, which is zinc stearate, calcium stearate, magnesium stearate or a mixture thereof, 0–34 wt.% of a third polymer stabilizer, which is zinc oxide, hydrotalcite, sodium benzoate or a mixture thereof, 0–20 wt.% of an additional ingredient, which is different from the first, second and third polymer stabilizer; binder, which is a molecule containing an alkyl or alkenyl group with more than 14 carbon atoms; microcellulose; carbohydrate; SiO2; silicon-containing substance; inorganic substance; ionic salt and dye, where the tablet has a weight of more than 20 mg and less than 330 mg and a cross-sectional size of more than 3 mm and less than 18 mm. Also disclosed is a tablet of a polymer stabilizer, a method of producing a stabilized polymer, a tablet-polymer mixture, use of the tablet for dust-free handling of its components in production of a stabilized polymer.
