FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of rods with diameter of less than 70 mm from precision alloy of “Н70Х10Ф8Я7” by hot extrusion. Prefabricated capsule is prepared and its further hot pressing into a matrix with application of a force to the rear end of the prefabricated capsule. Layer is removed from the metal of the assembled capsule by means of mechanical treatment. Preparation of the assembled capsule is carried out by placing an ingot from a precision alloy of the “Н70Х10Ф8Я7” brand of vacuum induction melting with a heat-protective coating applied on it into a container in the form of a cylindrical dead-bottom shell, conical washer is welded to the opposite end face. Ratio of thickness of bottom part of prefabricated capsule to ingot body is not less than 2 to 1, and degree of ingot deformation at said hot pressing is equal to 80%.
EFFECT: as a result, rods with a homogeneous structure of the required geometrical size are obtained.
