FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in thermal energy sources. In the disclosed method, a high-voltage streamer electric discharge is formed between the series-installed anode and cathode electrodes by supplying them with a pulse-periodic high-voltage voltage with frequency of 30 to 50 kHz, pulse voltage value from 5 to 15 kV, and streamer discharge is maintained with average current from 0.5 to 5.0 A. Provided is formation of back-vortex flow of working gas, consisting of primary vortex flow of working gas passing along wall of ceramic tube and formed by vortex flow former with tangential inlet nozzle and inlet volute, built along Archimedes spiral, and reverse vortex flow formed when the primary vortex flow is reflected from the bottom of the discharge chamber and redirected inside the primary vortex flow into the low pressure zone inside the primary vortex flow. Electrode anode and cathode are made of hydride-forming metal, for example nickel, titanium, platinum, palladium, tungsten or molybdenum and their alloys.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of heat energy generation and reliability of generation device design.
