FIELD: electric power industry and hydrogen energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electric power industry and hydrogen energy and can be used in sources of thermal energy and incidentally for the extraction of hydrogen and electrical energy. The method includes the supply of an inert gas through an axial hole 3 in the electrode anode 2, the formation of plasma 10 under the influence of a pulsed high-voltage voltage between electrodes 2 and 7, the formation of a rotational-eddy movement of water 5 relative to the axis between electrodes 2 and 7 and the creation of a gas cavity 9 between the electrodes. The thermal energy released in the gas cavity 9 as a result of the occurrence of plasma-chemical reactions during the interaction of protons with erosive metal particles heats the plasma to 8000 - 10000°C, which increases the generation of thermal energy and the yield of hydrogen. In the device, thermal energy from the plasma is transferred through water to a water seal, where it is removed by a heat exchanger, hydrogen is separated from the gas products of plasma reactions using a gas separator, and electricity is generated using a hydrogen fuel cell.
EFFECT: expansion of the field of application, increase in the efficiency of thermal energy generation, increase in the yield of hydrogen is ensured.
