FIELD: accurate instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: method of making a rotor of an electrostatic gyroscope further comprises steps in which the rotor finishing process is carried out in Q cycles, in each of which a control step is added to the processing step, which consists of three permutations of the direction of rotation of laps corresponding to three successive rotations of the rotor around the axes of the coordinate system connected by the rotor by Euler angles, wherein the axes pass through the centre of the rotor and through the nodes of the conditional mathematical grid superimposed on the surface of the rotor, in the process of finishing the rotor, the processing and control stages are alternated, wherein said rotor is sequentially oriented by mathematical grid nodes to position fixed relative to four-spindle device and processed therein until all positions are passed. Number of cycles is selected equal to that of grid nodes.
EFFECT: increasing the precision of the shape of spherical rotors.
