METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF SENSITIVE ELEMENT OF ELECTROSTATIC GYROSCOPE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2153649 C1

FIELD: manufacture of ball gyroscopes with electrostatic rotor suspension. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in shaping of ceramic centering ring and hemispheres of gyro-casing and spherical beryllium rotor, making of suspension film electrodes on the inner spherical surface of each hemisphere, rotor balancing, assembly and vacuum treatment of the sensitive element. The process of rotor balancing is accomplished by monitoring the attainment of the required values of only two parameters-unbalance and shape, determining in this case the actually obtained value of rotor diameter Dr, proceeding from which the suspension film electrodes are treated up to formation of working spherical surface limiting them with diameter De = Dr+2Δ, where Δ - design value of radial clearance between the rotor and electrode suspension sphere. Besides, basing relative to the sphere with diameter De, shaping of the jointing plane and mounting guide members, fixing the hemispheres in the centering ring, is accomplished on each hemisphere. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of sensitive element, essentially expanded adaptability to manufacture. 1 dwg
