SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for digital radiography of large animals. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the cassette for a flat-panel detector for digital radiography of large animals has a front and side walls made of organic glass with thickness of 8 mm, size of the inner recess of cartridge is 2 mm more than the width, height and thickness of the detector, three sides of the cartridge, two long and one short, on the inner side have a groove with depth of 2 mm, fourth side of cassette is 5 mm narrower than all other sides and is equipped with a handle, which mounting is recessed and does not interfere with the location of the detector in the cassette, the rear wall of the cassette is made of sheet aluminium alloy and is equipped with a small handle.

EFFECT: reduced weight and size of the cassette, high resistance of the flat-panel X-ray detector to external effects.
