FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in making thin-walled bellows. Corrugations are made on tubular billet in two steps by elastomer in split sectional matrix under constrained bending conditions. At the first stage, excess material of the workpiece is collected in the area of the corrugation top by forming a bend providing an increment of the length of the corrugation generatrix. A matrix of a split sectional matrix is used, which has the shape of a wave in the region of the corrugation top. At the second stage, a corrugation is formed from the excess material obtained at the first stage in the matrix for the final formation of the corrugation of the split sectional matrix.
EFFECT: high quality of the produced bellows with minimum thickness variation.
