FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology, and can be used for diagnostics of intracranial hypertension in pseudotumor cerebri syndrome. If observing the clinical signs of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure increase in the patients with optic disc oedema, based on the ophthalmologist's examination data, the optic coherence tomography of the optic disc is performed to determine the optic disc prominence height into the vitreous body. If the value is more than 300 mcm, intracranial hypertension is diagnosed – an increase in CSF pressure of more than 200 mm H2O.
EFFECT: method provides more effective diagnosis of pseudotumor cerebri syndrome by determining the height of optic disc prominence in the vitreous body.
