FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for differential diagnosis of optic nerve (OND) and optic nerve (ON) congestive discs. Area of neuroretinal optic nerve belt (RimAria), area OND (DiscAria), average ratio of excavation area to disc area (Av C/D), ratio of excavation height to disc height at excavation center (V C/D) by optical coherence tomography using OpticDiscCube protocol 200×200. A morphometric OND coefficient is calculated by formula: morphometric coefficient OND = DiscAria/RimAria × 100. If the morphometric OND coefficient is 98.91 to 99.61, Av C/D is 0.09 to 0.11, V C/D is 0.08 to 0.1, OND druses are diagnosed. If the morphometric OND coefficient is 91.9 to 94.5, Av C/D is 0.19 to 0.23, V C/D is from 0.18 to 0.22, stagnant ON discs are diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides differential diagnostics of OND and stagnant ON disks by determining morphometric OND coefficient, average ratio of excavation area to disc area, ratio of excavation height to disc height in excavation center.
