SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ecology and remote sensing data analysis and relates to a method for quantitative assessment of landscape transformation under the effect of natural and man-made destructive factors. Quantitative assessment of the area of transformation of landscapes is carried out based on analysis of relative anomalies of spectral indices NDVI and LST, calculated based on multispectral satellite data for cells of a regular grid, programmatically superimposed on multispectral satellite images of the landscape, made in the infrared range of 10.0-13.0 mcm, in visible red range 0.620-0.670 mcm and in near infrared range 0.841-0.876 mcm, with the subsequent determination of the area with transformation features based on the calibration curves of the linear regression of the relationship between the level of NDVI and LST anomalies and the fraction of the total area of transformation of vegetation and living ground cover, expressed as a percentage relative to the total area of the investigated landscape.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of long-term ecological monitoring of the state of landscapes and quantitative assessment of the degree of transformation of the landscape in percentage with respect to the total area of the investigated landscape.
