FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing ingots of titanium alloy TiMoNbZrAl. Method of producing alloy TiMoNbZrAl includes preparation of initial materials for obtaining alloy and melting of alloy. Initial materials are prepared in the form of aluminum, niobium, molybdenum, zirconium foils and titanium rod, wherein the aluminum foils are folded so that the aluminum foils are arranged between the titanium bar and between the molybdenum, niobium and zirconium foils, the folded foils are wrapped on the titanium bar, inserting the resulting bundle into a steel formwork, which is placed in a vacuum resistance furnace and annealed at temperature of 650 °C for 12 hours to form an electrode, removing the obtained electrode from the steel formwork, and then alloy melting is carried out first by installation of electrode into vacuum electric arc furnace and remelting in vacuumized furnace till residual pressure of 10−3 mm Hg furnace with production of ingot of alloy, and then by installing the obtained ingot as an electrode for repeated remelting, wherein the alloy of the following composition is melted, wt.%: niobium 0.5–1.5, molybdenum 0.5–1.5, zirconium 3, aluminum 3, titanium—the rest.
EFFECT: high homogeneity of the ingot.
