FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of homogeneous ingots of titanium alloy TiNiTa. Method of producing a TiNiTa homogeneous alloy ingot includes placing initial substances in a copper water-cooled tray of a vacuum electric arc furnace, at that, nickel plates are laid on bottom of tray, on them compacted titanium jaw is laid, and above - tantalum plate, zirconium, which is a getter, is placed in an additional hole, furnace is evacuated to residual pressure of 10-3 mm Hg and filled with high purity argon. At the first stage of melting arc is ignited between non-consumable electrode and zirconium getter to remove cross-section oxygen in inert gas, then initial materials are melted to produce a single ingot, and at second stage of melting obtained ingot is installed in place of non-consumable electrode and is remelted in vacuum in mode of consumable electrode with subsequent grinding ingot.
EFFECT: obtaining high-quality homogeneous ingot with respect to chemical composition.
