SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of testing for resistance of equipment to action of radio-frequency electromagnetic field. Method of testing large-size equipment for resistance to radio-frequency electromagnetic field involves formation of an antenna plane of a homogeneous field, which is successively moved along the surface of the test object by turning the antenna relative to its centre in the horizontal and vertical planes and moving the antenna along the surface of the test object so that the distance between the centre of the antenna and any point on the surface of the test object is the same.

EFFECT: high accuracy of estimating resistance of a large-size technical device to the action of a radio-frequency electromagnetic field.
