FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining coordinates of an object. Proposed method includes: placing the Earth remote sensing aircraft (ERSA) so that the terrain object is in the field of view of the topographic camera, and placement of aircraft marks (AM) in field of view of auxiliary camera; simultaneous photographing of the area and the AM with registration of the moment of time of photographing, reception and recording of data from radio navigation systems (RNS) on the ERSA and each AM, as well as recording the parameters of the transition between the coordinate system (CS) of the topographic camera and the CS of the auxiliary camera; transmitting to the image processing device of the area and AM data on the moment of photographing, data from the RNS, parameters of the transition between the SC of the topographic and auxiliary cameras; converting data from RNS into data on location of AM and ERSA at the moment of photographing; determination of external orientation elements of auxiliary camera; converting coordinates of the image of the terrain object from the CS of the topographic camera to the CS of the auxiliary camera; conversion of coordinates of the terrain object from the CS of the auxiliary camera to the coordinates of the object in the CS of the object.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining coordinates of an object.
