FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of diagnostic equipment using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), which enable to quickly detect critical angles of inclination of supports of the contact system of electrified railways. Said objective is achieved by using three pairs of laser scanning range finders installed on the recording means, by means of which the angle of inclination of each support of the contact network is determined in three planes and in two projections for each plane – along and perpendicular to the scanning plane, respectively, wherein final averaged angles of catenary system supports are presented in the reference system related to the track, wherein one of the coordinate axes is perpendicular and the other one is parallel to the track. Determination of inclination angles of contact network supports ±γ⊥ and ±γ|| in each plane P1, P2 and P3, knowledge of UAV flight conditions and angles between planes β taking into account simple mathematical transformations caused by the rotation of the reference system, it allows determining the averaged angles of inclination of the contact network <γ⊥> and <γ||> support in a reference system associated with a track.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the angle of inclination of contact network supports located along railway tracks.
