FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in designing and upgrading means of identifying aerial objects detected by an on-board radar station. In the disclosed method of identifying aerial objects, coded response signals generated and transmitted in response to coded interrogation signals are processed using additional selection of the interrogation signal based on spatial coordinates of the identified aerial object (IAO). In the case of using on-board equipment of a satellite radio navigation system (BESNS) to generate values of spatial coordinates and parameters of spatial orientation of the requesting aircraft (AC), the reliability of the measurements formed by the BESNS is monitored by comparing the altitude values formed by the BESNS on one side and a barometric altimeter on the other side. If a decision on the reliability of measurements of the generated BESNS is generated, then the value of the additional selection feature is transmitted, which informs on the presence of values of the spatial coordinates of the IAO in the information message transmitted in the request signal together with the values of the spatial coordinates of the IAO in this message, otherwise, only the value of the additional selection feature is transmitted. Additional selection of the interrogation signal by the spatial coordinates of the IAO on the side of the requested aircraft is carried out only if the received value of the additional selection feature informs about the presence of values of spatial coordinates of the IAO in the information message received in the interrogation signal, that is, only if at the stage of monitoring the validity of the measurements generated by the BESNS, a decision on their validity is formed on the side of the requesting aircraft. This makes it possible to increase the number of required response signals in conditions of destabilizing factors effect on the BESNS of the requesting aircraft and, as a result, leads to an increase in the probability of correct identification of aerial objects as a whole.
