SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and a method for optimizing vehicle operation using a digital advisor to a driver. Method comprises steps of: performing two runs in laden state, determining maximum and minimum speeds of passage of track sections; based on the machine learning model, calculating the recommended speeds to achieve the minimum fuel consumption while maintaining the cruise time; constructing a digital map for issuing recommendations for the route of the vehicle with the construction of the right roadside and with the selection of irregularities; after the voyage, the digital route map is updated taking into account the appearance of new road irregularities or their elimination, the driver selection of the optimum speeds, which leads to automatic change of recommendations to the vehicle driver at the next trip.

EFFECT: optimization of vehicle operation is achieved.
