SUBSTANCE: aerosol delivery device includes a control device that includes an outer casing defining an outer wall and having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end of the control device defining a receiving chamber, and the control device also including a power supply and a control component, and a cartridge, which includes a mouthpiece, a container, a heating unit or atomization unit, and a bottom cap, wherein the mouthpiece has a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end of the mouthpiece has an outlet opening extending therethrough, the container defines a proximal end and a distal end and is configured to contain liquid composition, the mouthpiece is configured to interact with the proximal end of the container, and the bottom cap is configured to interact with the distal end of the container. The cartridge is designed to be detachably connected to the receiving chamber of the control device, and the heating unit or atomization unit forms an evaporation chamber and is designed to evaporate the liquid composition to produce an aerosol, while the incoming air flow is specified between the cartridge and the control device by means of a gap, and the path for the aerosol is specified through the container and the outlet of the mouthpiece, and the gap begins at the interface between the outer peripheral surface of the mouthpiece and the control device. The gap between the cartridge and the control device is set by a plurality of projections located on the control device, and the plurality of projections includes a plurality of raised elongated projections located on the upper frame of the control device.
EFFECT: increased effective flow path length and heat removal area providing increased cooling of the aerosol flow before it reaches the user.
