FIELD: electric communication technique.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunication, mainly to digital communication, and can be used in railway transport for organizing operational-technological communication of train traffic dispatchers. CATE has a single housing, in which a switch is installed, two program switches – the main one and a standby one, with a single floating IP address, a router for connecting to a data network, and interface conversion gateways for connecting to a park of equipment and channels, which are connected to a switch by interface buses, as well as a power supply unit and a storage battery unit, which are connected to all listed units via power buses.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the communication device due to the possibility of managing conferences, simplifying the design, improving safety of the combined automatic telephone exchange (CATE), possibility of upgrading the system without special expenses (by increasing the number of connected devices), improving reliability of the system and protecting against power outages.
