FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to a method for non-invasive monitoring of biodegradation of a polymer scaffold with a fluorescent label in the body of a laboratory animal in vivo. Method is implemented by preparing a scaffold with a fluorescent label and implanting it into the body of an animal. Indocyanine green is used as a fluorescent label in the polymer, which is introduced into the oligomers making up said polymer, to obtain 0.05-0.15 wt.% content of indocyanine green in the polymer, excitation and recording of its fluorescence is carried out in the near infrared range, and in the process of monitoring, magnetic resonance imaging in the T2 FSE mode is additionally performed, and then the MRI images of the animal are analysed.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy and information value of determining kinetics of biodegradation of polymer scaffold.
