SUBSTANCE: described is a bacterial biosensor E. coli pDinA-lux, which increases its luminescence level in response to DNA damage, consisting of Escherichia coli cells transformed with a plasmid with luxCDABE genes under the control of a polymerase II gene promoter.
EFFECT: cells of Escherichia coli, which enable to detect DNA-damaging agents causing replication fork arrest or alkylation of nitrogenous bases.
