FIELD: construction materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of production of construction material and can be used for making thermal wood concrete blocks, slabs or in the form of commercial thermal wood concrete, intended for use at high loads and without additional protection or finishing against the effect of external environmental conditions. Method of producing dense thermal wood concrete involves grinding wood raw material, drying and thermal modification in a steam-air medium at a treatment temperature of 160 to 200 °C with subsequent soaking of the obtained thermally modified wood aggregate in water, batching and mixing of said modified wood aggregate, portland cement and sand to obtain a thermo-wood-concrete mixture, its moulding by vibration compaction with subsequent curing in natural conditions. Wood raw material is crushed to particle size of 5-20 mm, soaking is carried out in pure industrial water for at least 30 minutes, and thermal wood concrete mixture is prepared at the following ratio of components, vol.%: portland cement M 500 – 13, fine aggregate – sand – 33, coarse aggregate in the form of said ground thermally modified wood – 54.

EFFECT: purpose of invention consists in optimization of operational properties of thermal wood concrete and articles made from it, namely in improvement of strength and frost resistance, reduction of water and moisture absorption.
