FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: pyrotechnic signal composition of green light relates to pyrotechnics, and more specifically to pyrotechnic colour-flame signal compositions of green light and can be used in production of reactive signal cartridges, as well as pyrotechnic signal devices and fireworks. Pyrotechnic signal composition of green light contains an oxidising agent – barium nitrate, a fuel – magnesium powder, a binder – iditol. Additional oxidising agent and colour-flame additive is potassium perchlorate. As a colour-flame additive it contains chlorinated paraffin. Process additive is graphite. Components are contained in the following ratio, wt.%: magnesium powder – 19-25, barium nitrate – 44-50, iditol – 3-8, potassium perchlorate – 5-9, chlorinated paraffin – 13-20, graphite – 1-3.
