SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment and can be used for protection against accidental needle pricks. Needle protection mechanism can have a proximal wall defining a distal surface, a proximal surface and a through hole. Proximal wall is made from the first material. Needle protection mechanism can have a first resilient tab extending distally from the distal surface of the proximal wall. First resilient tab includes a tab section and a distal wall. Needle protection mechanism can have a second resilient tab extending distally from the distal surface of the proximal wall. Second resilient tab includes a tab section and a distal wall. One section of the first resilient tab and the second resilient tab can be made from a second material different from the first material of the proximal wall.
EFFECT: design of the needle protection mechanism from a combination of metal and plastic facilitates cost-effective production.
