METHOD OF TREATING PERIPHERAL TRACTION RETINAL DETACHMENT IN DIABETIC RETINOPATHY Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2739698 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. After the three-mirror Goldman lens is installed, the first stage involves eliminating vitreous retinal tractions by using a Tango Reflex laser at wavelength 1064 nm, spot diameter in focus of 8 mcm, pulse duration 4 ns, power 4 mJ. At that, front-anterior shift of focus is set to 0 micrometres. Laser system focusing beam is focused in the trapezoidal mirror of the lens and a Yag-laser dissection of the vitreous cords fixed to the retina is performed in the detachment zone at distance of 3 mm from the retina. After that, the three-mirror Goldman lens is replaced by the Ocular Mainster PRP 165 lens and the second step involves the retinal barrier laser coagulation using 577 nm wavelength laser, wherein the coagulates are applied in 5 rows at 0.5 coagulate diameter from the retinal detachment edge with diameter of 400 mcm, with exposure of 70 milliseconds, power ≥ 200 milliwatts before appearance of coagulates of III degree according to F.A. L'Esperance classification. Third stage involves three sessions of panretinal laser coagulation 9 days, 1 month and 3 months from the beginning of treatment using a laser at wave length 577 nm, power 300 MW, exposure 50 ms, spot size 490 mcm, number of pulses 1800 per 1 session.

EFFECT: method allows reducing total length of treatment of retinal traction retinal detachment in diabetic retinopathy, accelerating postoperative rehabilitation of patients.
