FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics, cardiology, pulmonology and genetics, and can be used for prediction of development of comorbid form of arterial hypertension in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). DNA is recovered from samples of peripheral venous blood of a patient with arterial hypertension and COPD. Polymorphic loci A313G of the GSTP1 gene, C-174G of IL 6 gene, G-308A of the TNF gene are typed by real-time polymerase chain reaction. If the patient has the genotype G/G of the polymorphic locus A313G of the GSTP1 gene, genotype G/G or C/G of polymorphic locus C-174G of IL 6 gene, genotype A/A or G/A of polymorphic locus G-308A of TNF gene high risk of developing comorbid arterial hypertension in COPD is determined. In the absence of said genotypes, a low probability of developing a comorbid form of arterial hypertension in COPD is stated.

EFFECT: method enables predicting a risk of developing a comorbid form of arterial hypertension and COPD by determining polymorphisms of immunological control genes, a detoxification system and antioxidant protection.
