METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF GENETIC PREDISPOSITION TO INFECTIVE ENDOCARDITIS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/50 C12Q1/68

Abstract RU 2618459 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to determine the genetic predisposition to infective endocarditis (IE) and high risk of IE development. Venous blood samples are taken from Russian risk patients, genomic DNA is isolated, allele-specific polymerase chain reaction is performed and polymorphic Lys268Arg locus of NAT2 gene and Ile105Val locus of GSTP1 gene are determined. Genetic predisposition and 11.3-fold risk of IE development is revealed for carriers of NAT2 Arg268Arg × GSTP1 Ile105Val genotypes combination.

EFFECT: establishment of genetic predisposition to infective endocarditis for risk patients, which contributes to the efficient determination of a set of preventive and therapeutic measures.
