FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measuring thermionic current and voltage of powder materials with electronic and (or) ionic and (or) mixed conductivity. Cell contains cylindrical measuring vessel (1) from a heat-resistant ceramic dielectric material. Measuring vessel (1) is equipped with two electrodes (2) connected to the electric circuit of electric measuring device (12). Electrodes (2) are made in the form of metal wire, at that, to the end of one of them a steel sample of rectangular shape is welded. Upper part of each electrode (2) is equipped with single-channel insulator (7). Graphite cover (9) of cylindrical shape is installed outside on the upper part of measuring vessel (1). Cover (9) has two holes for output of electrodes (2) with insulators (7). Places of output of electrodes (2) from insulators (7) are sealed with solidifying mixture (8) of corundum and liquid glass. Inner part of measuring vessel (1) under cover (9) is isolated from external atmosphere by three layers of powders: graphite-corundum powder mixture (5), silicocalcium powder (6) and graphite powder (10). Thickness of the listed layers is not less than 3-5 mm. Each layer is separated from the other by asbestos cardboard (4) with thickness of 1-2 mm. Measurements are carried out during heating of cell with powder material (3) to temperature of not less than 1,000 °C.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring the value of thermal emission current and voltage of powder materials during stabilization of gas flows in a cell.
