FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for micropropagation of Calligonum aphyllum, consists in selection of young and semi-lignified shoots of leafless girasol, containing 1–2 internodes, in the period of May-July. Sprouts of Calligonum aphyllum should be sterilized in 1% Lizoformin-3000 during 4 minutes. Composition of the culture medium includes: standard Murashige-Skoog medium with addition of sucrose and agar in concentration of 30 g/l and 7 g/l, respectively, 0.5 mg/l of cytokine 6-benzylaminopurine and 0.1 mg/l of gibberellic acid. Calligonum aphyllum explants should be cultivated in sterile conditions on phyto-racks with 16-hour photoperiod, at temperature of 22–24 °C.
EFFECT: due to this complex, a high result of viability of explants and a high coefficient of reproduction during micropropagation for further stages of rhizogenesis and transfer of leafless Juzgun plants into open ground to combat desertification of territories is achieved.
