FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method involves using single- and double-noded segments of spring or summer shoots as initial explants, their sterilisation, forcing axillary shoots, multiplication and rooting, which takes place on the 1/2 WPM nutrient medium, transferring the plants to non-sterile conditions and planting in the soil. As initial explants, shoots of Weigela suavis and Weigela florida"Variegata" are used, additional surface sterilisation is carried out with the benzylpenicillin solution of 200 mg/l for 20-40 min. Forcing axillary shoots and multiplication are carried out on a nutrient medium containing a half set of calcium chloride and nitric acid and macronutrients 1/2 WPM, trace elements, vitamins, iron chelate, according to Murashige and Skoog (MS) prescriptions, supplemented with half the amount of 10-15 g/l of sucrose, 7 of agar-agar, 0.2 mg/l of 6-benzylaminopurine, 0.1 mg/l of gibberellin, 100 mg/l of myoinositol, 2 mg/l of ascorbic acid. Cultivation is carried out on light-cultural shelves under the conditions of the 16-hour period of illumination with LED strips with the voltage of 12 V, the power of 4.5 W/m, the total illumination is 2500-3000 lux, with a strip with red photodiodes added on each shelf. After rooting, the plants are transferred in moulds with washed sand under a micro-glass, and transferred to the open soil after wintering under laboratory conditions.

EFFECT: method allows to obtain planting material of the shrub Weigela suavis and a variegated shrub Weigela florida variegata in the form of normally formed rooted plants of the initial genotype.
