FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in making hydrogen accumulators for power plants on an industrial scale, for autonomous power systems, including ground, water and air vehicles, stationary ground and space-based objects. Disclosed is a liquid organic hydrogen carrier, which is a eutectic mixture containing dibenzyl toluene and quinoline with the following ratio of components, wt.%: dibenzyl toluene – 50, quinoline – 50. Also disclosed is a hydrogen cycle involving binding hydrogen at temperature of 160 to 200 °C and its release at temperature from 320 to 350 °C using said liquid organic hydrogen carrier in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst. Catalyst is platinum deposited on a carbon support in an amount not exceeding 0.2 wt.%.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a liquid organic hydrogen carrier having increased hydrogen capacity at a low melting point of the mixture.
