FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology, namely genetic engineering. Described is a recombinant protein of receptor-binding domain (RBD) – a structural domain of the spike glycoprotein SARS-CoV-2. Disclosed is a method of producing said protein. Recombinant RBD S-protein of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has size of 437 amino acids with a molecular weight of 48.61 kDa. EFFECT: invention can be used in creating ELISA test systems and for designing vaccines against coronavirus infection – COVID-19.
