FIELD: chemistry; electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical industry, specifically to technology of agglomeration of electrode (cathode) materials for use in lithium-ion batteries with high volume density of energy by means of spray drying. Method of producing active cathode composite agglomerated material Li1+xFe1-xPO4/C, 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.1, includes the following steps: preparation of an aqueous suspension containing solid phase 20–50 wt.%, containing iron source, that is iron phosphate, lithium source, that is lithium hydroxide, carbon source, that is mixture of saccharide and organic acid and distilled water; feeding the suspension in a compressed air flow into a chamber containing at least one microwave radiation source at rate of 1–6 ml/min, subsequent spraying of the suspension and its drying under the action of microwave radiation with power of 750–1000 W; heat treatment of the dried material in an inert atmosphere at 650–800 °C for 6–10 hours.
EFFECT: increasing bulk density with tapping of active cathode material and increasing its specific capacity at different rates of charge / discharge.
