FIELD: production or processing of nanostructures.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of texturing of surfaces of materials, namely to a method for nanostructuring the surface of a metal material for the manufacture of electrodes or electrolytic membranes of solid oxide fuel cells by laser ablation, in particular a cermet from zirconium dioxide, and can be used in making electrolytic membranes and electrodes of solid oxide fuel cells with characteristic submicron differences in height of surface relief. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the treated surface is placed under a layer of cooling liquid with thickness of 1–3 mm, and the relief in the form of a nanostructure is formed in the form of solidified nanodrops on cone-shaped legs. Intensity of laser beam radiation is changed depending on processed metal and coefficient K of reaction surface increase by more than 5 times in relation to initial smooth surface, which is determined from the specified ratio.
EFFECT: method provides higher efficiency of nanostructuring of material by increasing area of reaction surface and intensification of near-electrode processes of heat and mass transfer.
