FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of surface heat-hardening of articles from metal materials and alloys consists in the fact that the article is placed in the tooling installed in the system of movement of the heat-hardening plant, then heat sources are placed: laser – on the side of the article with a smaller required depth of heat hardening, and induction – on the side of the article with a greater required depth of heat hardening, then for each of them working parameters corresponding to article material for its hardening are set, after which simultaneously said heat sources are turned on, which form total temperature field of action and perform heat hardening of article zone during its movement relative to heat sources.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of active zones without surface melting during processing of items, in which shape and required depth of processing vary within the limits of article configuration.
