FIELD: armour.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bulletproof materials. Armoured panel comprises multiple layers of non-fibrous multilayer tape from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), which is formed by crossing overlapping of N layers of unidirectional threads of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, where 1≤N≤8. Angle of crossing of each adjacent layer of unidirectional threads of UHMWPE is 30-120 degrees. One layer of unidirectional threads of UHMWPE has surface density of 10-25 g/m2. Content of UHMWPE threads in one layer is 80-97 wt.%, and the binder content is 3-20 wt.%.
EFFECT: reduction of armoured panel weight and provision of high ballistic protection.
