FIELD: production of composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing high-density composite for armouring curved surfaces of armor protection means, characterized by the fact that two or more unidirectional polymer layers are placed one above the other, while forming a multilayer coating, then the multilayer coating is subjected to heat treatment, during which the unidirectional polymer layers of the multilayer coating are connected to each other, wherein the unidirectional polymer layers are arranged perpendicular to each other, wherein preliminary impregnated with adhesive binder, and between unidirectional polymer layers additionally installed thermoactivated film with thickness of 5–8 mcm from thermosetting material with subsequent thermal pressing of the composition at an operating temperature in range of 120 to 130 °C, which enables to protect objects of any shape and configuration from being hit by small arms.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing a high-density composite for body armor.
