FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of round timber quality examination, namely to practical recognition of double top timber. For the first time, methods have been developed for determining double (multiple) vertices in round timber using clear criteria consisting in the presence of characteristic axes of the main trunk and vertices in such logs.
EFFECT: possibility of reliable determination of double (multiple) top wood flaw.
